Nikki Villagomez: Culture + Typography

Join AIGA Wisconsin and Nikki Villagomez for a look into how culture affects typography and decision-making processes in everyday life. In her presentation, Nikki will use pictures taken throughout her travels to discuss the comparisons (and contrasts) in type choices based on location.

This will be Nikki’s 32nd AIGA chapter talk – and she's got something special planned. She'll be including photos of Wisconsin typography in her presentation!

AIGA Wisconsin members and individuals in our design community have already shared images of everyday typography throughout Wisconsin that make our cities, neighborhoods, businesses and communities unique. But you can still contribute by tagging your photos with #WItype or sharing them with AIGA Wisconsin on Facebook! The types of pictures we like to see submitted are graffiti, manhole covers, hand lettering, and local signs. Submit your photos and maybe they'll pop up in Nikki's presentation!

We can't wait to see you at the event!
