Lighting Indoors. A one light indoor workshop
Using ambient and strobe light together to create natural-looking images.
Featuring Nick Collura
Prerequisites
Attendees should possess a working knowledge of manual exposure (shutter speed, aperture, ISO). Basic knowledge of lighting is a plus (color, quality, amount, direction).
Topics
Hiding Your Light | Achieve natural-looking results by hiding your light, or using "motivated light."
Two Exposures at Once. Strobe & Ambient Exposure | We'll learn to assess and shape the available (ambient) light, use practical lights and purposefully add strobe light.
Modifiers & How to Choose | There is an abundance of light modifiers available. We'll demo various modifiers, their differences, how to choose, and how to use them in combination with ambient light. On hand will be umbrellas, softboxes, octaboxes, grids, reflectors, pancakes and more.
Grip Basics and Safety | We'll go through some basics to make sure you're using stands and lighting equipment properly and safely.
