The first exhibition of its kind in New York, “¡Propaganda! Cuban Political and Film Posters” will present 100 original silk-screened political and film posters dating from the 1950s to the late 1990s. The exhibition represents the importance of the Cuban poster both in promoting the revolution and in demonstrating Cuba’s art culture as a thriving international force. A special highlight of this show will be a rare collection of film posters designed by Cuban artists for both Cuban and foreign films.
